Uninstalling JAWS 6 without losing jaws 9

So I'm currently using JAWS 9, but I've got an old copy of JAWS 6 still hanging around on my system. Now when I installed JAWS 9, which I had to buy and had a key number emailed to me for from FS, it didn't ask me for a key. It didn't even start in demo mode. I've been using it for a few months now with no issues. My question is, could 9 have somehow integrated with 6 to authorize itself when I installed it? I'm just concerned that if I uninstall 6, my authorization for 9 will go right along with it. The only difference I can find between the two is that 6 says that it is authorized with an ILM key, and 9 that it has been authorized with a *local* ILM key.
Possibly a stupid question, I'm not particularly savvy when it comes to the ins and outs of blindy tech.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

removing 6 shouldn't have any problems.

If in deed you uninstall version six, you won't lose your authorisation for jaws nine, because the key installed itself when you first put in version six, plus the cd that contains the unlock key installs itself in your registry, and jaws nine will see that, because it searchs for any authorisation keys, the same way the old quela keys did for five x and under.
